A Gift of Peace

Isaiah 48:18 "18 Oh, that you had listened to my commands!
Then you would have had peace flowing like a gentle river
and righteousness rolling over you like waves in the sea."
Jesus offers us peace like a river - not a pond.  Peace in the midst of chaos and busyness. With Christ it is possible to be in turmoil and walk in peace.  Do you trust that God is bigger than your fear?

Share Love

Live a life filled with love, following the example of Christ. He loved us and offered himself as a sacrifice for us, a pleasing aroma to God.

Our love for others should go beyond affection to self sacrificing service to imitate Christ.
I will allow the JOY of the Lord to rise in me continually.
I will walk in PEACE and not stress.
I will be PATIENT and not lose my temper.
I will show KINDNESS no matter what.
I will be GENTLE and not harsh to others.
I will not allow myself to get out of CONTROL.

People of Faith

Faith Hall of Fame
"All of these faithful ones died without receiving what God had promised them, but they saw it all from a distance and welcomed the promises of God.  They agreed that they were no more than foreigners and nomads on earth."
"So you see it is impossible to please God without faith.  Anyone who wants to come to him must believe there is a god and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him."
Hebrews 11

Peace

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
Peace of mind.
No longer are our minds like the troubled sea, which cannot rest, (Isaiah 57:20)
We are free. calm. joyful.
We can silence our minds' turmoil.
We can find rest for our souls.

Faith

Faith is being certain of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. Hebrews 5:11
We don't see the things of eternity.
But when we trust and believe we are seen as righteous in God's eyes.
Faith makes us Righteous in God's eyes.
For the Scriptures tell us, "Abraham believed God, and God counted him as righteous because of his faith."

Love

These things will last forever - faith, hope, and love - and the greatest of these is love.
1 Corinthians 13:13
Forever.
So few things I spend my time on will last forever.
Showing love is more important then checking things off my to do list.
Love needs to come first.

Wisdom

If any of you lacks wisdom he should ask God who gives generously to all without finding fault and it will be given. James 1:5
He gives generously.

We just need to ask

What's more important than taking the time to ask for wisdom?

Ask and you shall receive. Mathew 7:7
How much better to get wisdom than gold, to choose understanding rather than silver. Proverbs 16:16
